LGadow Posted February 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Two days ago I received an e-mail telling me not to come to the port to check in until from 1-3 PM. Today I received an e-mail saying if I wanted to beat the rush to come and check in between 10:30 and 12:30.... Any idea why?
wickedhangover Posted February 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) I always ignore those. I also read a while back, not sure if it is true, that if a lot of people book air through carnival, they send that notice out to try and make those passengers have a less crowded terminal. LGadow Posted February 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2014 I ignored the first one, but kind of liking the second one :) I'm driving to Miami, and it said something like "if you have flexible travel plans and want to beat the rush"... RWolver672 Posted February 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Every cruise we've taken we get to the port between 10:30 and 11. You may have to wait to board the ship but at least you'll be checked in and seated rather than standing in a long line waiting to check in. YB Nrml Posted February 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2014 We've always arrived at POM around 10:30. Never had to wait outside, walked right in and started the pre-boarding process. Plus it's fun to watch the current guests disembark and the wedding parties get on early.
