After we were about forted out, we decided to started heading back. I could see the funnel from the Fort and headed that direction. It was a pretty good hike getting back. We were on a mission to find a Pandora store before getting back on board. That proved a bit difficult. Getting directions was not going well. Yes, I did stop and try to get directions, not very manly. We did come across a Cold Stone on the way and partook in the creamy goodness. By mid afternoon it was getting warm. The ice-cream was good. We did eventually find the Pandora store. For you bead collectors out there, San Juan has a bead of a local frog that has 14k gold on it. DW was very happy. For you beer lovers, there is a little neighborhood bar caddy-corner that has some good prices. Just an FYI. It was close to sailing time so back we went.

The decks were busy and crowded by the time sail away hit.....

The views while leaving port. Not a bad day yet, great for February.

Grand Turk: This was another Dive Day. We booked this trip thru the CCL. It was very competitively priced. CCL uses Oasis Divers as their vendor. We got the tickets early on in the cruise. We grabbed breakfast on the Lido, got our gear and headed out...

We had a little issue finding the rally point to get checked in, but once we did it was fairly smooth sailing from there. The dive boat was a nice sized catamaran set up very nicely for diving. Plenty of space and a great crew. We did a 2-tank dive and the reefs were great. I gave them a good review on the CCL website. I would not hesitate to use them again. I hope you enjoy the marine life pictures....

When the last dive was completed, the captain of the boat dropped us off at the beach close to the pier. We had enough time to get back to the room, rinse off and do a little sight seeing / shopping on shore.

By the time we headed back the sun was getting low and it was time to get ready for the last Elegant Night. We had a great time chatting with our Table Mates. One couple was on their first cruise and they were from Canada, the other couple from Ohio and the third from Washington, also a first cruise. It's amazing how quickly we all connect.

Last Sea Day: We kicked back pretty much the last Sea Day. The weather was warm and sunny. Lounger use was in full swing! We did find a spot to call our own and caught a few more rays! We did take advantage of the "free laundry service" and filled a bag up so we could start the next cruise with mostly clean stuff. They did a good job and we had no issues there. As I recall, the Past Guest Party was that evening before dinner and we did go. The Captain and Officers talked, as usual. As it turned out, this was the Captain's last cruise on the Liberty. He and the Captain of the Sunshine were swapping ships. It was the usual party and video. The hors d'oeuvres were good and drinks plentiful. Josh, the CD, did a good job MCing the event. We had our last meal with our Table Mates and said our "Good Byes". This was most of our group.....

We slept in knowing we had plenty of time before we got the new documents for the Western Itinerary. We met in the Lobby by the Atrium Bar as a group. There were several B2Bers there. It was done a differently than our last B2B. This time they had a large envelope and called out names and handed us our new S&S cards. Then we took out Customs Form off the ship, thru Customs and back on. We took care of the expense account later that day. We then sat around and waited for our friends and family to start calling to let us know when they were arriving. But that is another story.

Recap: The Liberty was as nice as we remember it and it was great being back on her. The crew was very friendly and the ship was clean. We made new friends and memories. HMC was a great experience and we would go back in a heart beat. Was a little disappointed in the new menu but trust me, we did not go hungry. Service was a little slow, be we filled the time with great conversation. DW had few issues with her gluten free diet and the dining staff was more than great on the issue. We found the Photo staff a lot of fun and had a good time interacting with them. Our Room Steward Sanjaya was the bomb. Our wait staff made such a good impression early on, we requested the same table again and got it....

Hope you all enjoyed our account of this cruise on the Liberty. I'll try to answer any further questions. To you with cruises close by.... Bon Voyage!

Your excursion in St.Thomas is it possible to snorkel on that boat or is it a deep dive?

We were in about 40' of water. But, they base the dive sites on weather and water conditions. We traveled across a channel to a nearby island because of the weather, mainly wind. Coki Beach Dive Shop does have a website you can look at. They also have an 800 number that you can call for specific questions. Mike

Cruising on the Liberty for the first time in June after cruising on the Dream 7 times! Are the room safes like the Dream and does the Liberty have the interactive tv's like the Dream? Thanks so much.

The Liberty does have interactive TV's. We were able to check our folio balance. The safes use a credit type card to open it.

Ffmikey, thanks for the info and pictures. We'll be on the liberty 3/29, for only our 2nd cruise. Where/how did you book the cabana?

Hydrant328, You book the cabanas as an excursion via the CCL website. If you want to book one, book it soon. They may already be gone. You reserve the one you want at the Excursion Desk. It was my 1st stop once I was onboard.

Thanks for taking the time to do the review, we leave in less than three weeks and your pictures made it come alive for my DSs (who haven't visited these ports yet). You made their excitement grow tenfold, thank you!!

You are welcome, that makes it all worth the while! Have a great family vacation!

Did you get a sail and sign print out at the end of your cruise? I've read some ships aren't doing that anymore???

We did. Delivered in the mail box outside the door the last day. And you can always go to the Pursers Desk and get a copy at any time.

It was fun getting to know you two! We did have a great time. We ended up booking a cruise on the Miracle for Feb 2015 with our kids. Have fun on the Liberty next year. Who knows, maybe our paths will cross again in the future..... :)
