Help! We want to book Anthem ... However can anyone tell me if the seas are really rough in October between Southampton and Bruge -then to Paris?

We live in the states and usually cruise the Caribbean which is generally calm -

Thanks for your replies ... don't want to spend the cruise being sea sick and scared to death!

  • 2 weeks later...

Storms are much more prevalent in the English Channel in October/November than at other times of the year.

That said, even at that time of year there are many more calm days than stormy ones.

All three ports are pretty reliable in bad weather.

And Anthem is a goliath amongst cruise ships, vastly different to the X-channel ferries that I frequently use.

In rough seas, a good big-un is much better than a good little-un. :)

Fingers-crossed ;)

JB :)
