Crol Posted December 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2013 We're booked on the Infinity on a repositioning cruise next April and will be departing the ship on May 12, 2014 in Harwich, England. We're headed for Dublin, but have to get to Stansted airport outside London to pick up a flight there. BritRail is asking $192 per person for this ride, which I read is about an hour. Outrageous! Does anybody know of a cheaper alternative? CrolRose

kfowinst Posted December 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2013 I live in the uk. Don't pay those silly prices! Book online using this site: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk Cost is £44.20 and it's 2 hr 22 min at least You can get cheaper tix if travelling off peak in a group of 4. Just buy tickets at station. No need to buy in advance as there are no discounted fares on this route

But on the whole it's reliable and pleasant, I recommend over taxi if time not of the essence.
