teacher_md Posted March 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2014 Hey Everyone, Just wondering if the Grandeur of the Seas out of Baltimore offers an excursion to SeaWorld. I would like to visit the park and would prefer to not rent a car. I would be OK with an all-inclusive excursion (ticket and transportation) or just a shuttle service through RCI. Thank you and happy cruising, AJ
tahqa Posted March 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2014 No, there is no excursion or shuttle service to Seaworld out of Port Canaveral. You could take the shuttle service to Universal (excursion PC54) and then take a taxi or Lynx bus to Seaworld but, honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. Royal says it's an hour to Universal but it's more like 75 - 90 minutes from Port Canaveral. Then you throw in transfer time to Seaworld and back and you're really not getting that much time in the park.
teacher_md Posted March 11, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted March 11, 2014 tahqa - Thank you for the reply. That sounds a little time consuming and tricky. Do you know if the water temperature at Cocoa Beach will be warm enough to swim in during the 2nd week of April? Trying to figure out what to do in PC. Thank you, AJ
time4u2go Posted March 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Have you considered the Space Center? Not sure if it's an excursion, but if it is, and if there's a decent amount of time, it's highly recommended! FYI the average sea temperature at Cocoa Beach in mid-April is 70-75. Jetty Park is a nice beach. It's right at the inlet mouth where the ships come in. There is an entry fee but it has a small restaurant, a fishing pier and nice restrooms.
