Cruise Selection Advice Needed:

Three families traveling together. 6 Adults and 5 Children (4 are 9 years old and 1 will be almost 5).

 

Can't decide between the following cruises for January 2015:

 

5 Day Disney Wonder: $2500 Outside Cabin for 4

7 Day RCCL Freedom: $3000 Outside Cabin for 4

8 Day RCCL Freedom: $3400 Outside Cabin for 4

We have been on freedom class ships several times. They are really great for kids. No experience with Disney, but it would depend on where the cruise goes and how long you really want to be gone. I am sure the Disney cruise is fabulous too, so just pick !

I love the Freedom and it is great for kids. I have never seen an 8 night FOS before though. Can you list the ports for each ship?

Is the 8 night actually Independence? Freedom doesn't do 8 night itineraries.

 

On cost alone, I'd go on either the 7 or 8 nighter. The 5 night costs significantly more per night.

Went on Liberty (sister ship of Freedom) and Disney. I would choose the longer cruise over Disney. It's a great ship and kids would have fun. JMO, but seems to be more of a balance for kids and adults. The Disney ship was beautiful, but I just wouldn't do one again. You pay for the name. I think you all will enjoy the Freedom.

Someone recently posted her trip on Freedom. They ONLY did Disney vacations/cruises before. They had a ball! You may want to search for it. I just read it about a week ago.

 

I'm booked for an 8 day on INdy (Independence) which is an 8 day. Maybe it was that one?

 

Whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll have a good time, but you get more for your money with Royal.
