Thinking Sunshine

For me the only really negative thing about the Sunshine was the elevators.

I'm so accustomed to being on ships that clearly indicate what floor the elevator is currently on, giving 1 ding for up and 2 dings for down when it arrives at your floor, announcing in the elevator what floor you've arrived at, and announcing if the elevators were going up or down..........that it was very exhausting to try to CATCH one.

My sister and I would stand back to back so we could keep all elevators in sight, and talk about SLOW......I've never been on a ship that was worse, but I've heard that was an issue on the Destiny too.

I never encountered any smells or leaks so that was a non issue for me.

I didn't like the Liquid Lounge because the chairs on deck 3 main floor are so close together and there are no tables, so the bar waiters can't get to the center to take orders and it's a real hassle to get to the edge to go to the bar at the back of the room.

They would have been better off to complete the flooring on deck 5 and put the new cabins up there than to do away with the stadium style seating on deck 3. The venue as a nightclub isn't very successful.

We are looking to book that same cruise! Trying to decide between that and the Breeze.

I have a voucher for $100 OBC that we got when we booked this cruise while on our last cruise. It is good til march 24. I can mail it to you if you would like it.

In fact I have two! Anyone else looking to book this cruise?

Just off the Sunshine last week. Enjoyed the ship. We had cabin 7316. Did not spend a lot of time on lido. No complaints from us (other then a very tight casino). Had early dinning at a table for 12 (all our group) good service and food was very good. Did the steakhouse one night. Did not do the Asian or Italian places. Took a day or so to get the layout down, but not hard to find anything. Loved the Red Frog Pub. Great place to hang out with friends. Did notice long lines for ATD a few times. Never had a problem with crowds at the buffet as we went at off times.

We would (will) sail on her again.

We were in 7319 several years ago..will be in 7316 next year...was/is there a fridg? My memory stinks these days...:D

No fridge, but if you get the same cabin steward he is great. Lot's of ice, will bring you a cooler if you want.
