riclop Posted March 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) Embarkation:Arrived at the pot @11:00 and they start to board @ noon. after getting our getting our sign n sail card we noticed that we were assigned 2nd seating for dinner even though we had booked the cruise more than a year in advance and we had requested 1st dining and were assured we had it. We went to the matre d and he was very arrogant and said 1st seating is sold out and that there was nothing he could do. As the days went went by we found out that there was a 2000 people from a holistic vegan group and that was the reason everyone else was bumped to 2nd seating, but that was the best thing that could of happened because the food in the buffet was fabulous with LOTS of choices and excellent taste. Room 9086 beware, everytime someone above or below or next to you flushes there toilet it sounds like your walls are going to tumble in and on the last night that room is right next to there area where they collect luggage and the noise level is loud until 4am so sleep is not happening. riclop Posted March 12, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted March 12, 2014 SHOWS are the best at sea, lots of variety and tremendous singing and there opera singers are the best so dont miss none of them. SHIP is beautiful and very clean except for the bathrooms as MTL= family said and its very strange when you walk into a mens room and there are no urinals. POOL AREAS could be better as there is not that much room for lounge chairs except for the aft pool. The depth of the pools are pretty deep 5' 7" to 6'3". The aft pool is 4'2" to 4'6". which is great for shorter people who dont swim and just want to cool off. There is lots of music and entertainment at all hours and the animation team does a good job but are not as good as the Poesia. DEBARKATION was fantastic they started to let self assist off @ 6:15 and customs was fast and painless, we were at Miami airport at and at the gate at 7:15.There have been lots of complaints about guest relations but we found them to be very nice and helpful. Any questions i will try and answer them.
riclop Posted March 12, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Overall the Divina offers a very good cruise at fantastic prices and we have cruised other cruise lines and we can say that the food in the buffet and the shows are THE BEST @ SEA. Just go with an open mind and you will be pleasantly surprised.
ohiogymrat Posted March 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Thanks Im curious, how is gala night? I thought I saw something about free drinks. Is there a Caribbean band by the pool area? What were some of the options at the buffet?
MTL=CRUISEFAMILY Posted March 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Didn't realize we were on the same cruise...must have crossed each other many times. Yup, the holistic bunch cleared the buffet and pool area, as they were in conferences, lectures and other activities.

What were some of the options at the buffet? No carib band by pool area and the buffet has lots of options for dinner including stuff for kids, pizza, hot dogs, fries, hamburgers. Gala night lots of dress up people but lots of people go to the buffet to avoid dressing up. The buffet has the largest option of food of any other cruise line that we have been on. riclop Posted March 12, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) Oh crap, I'm booked in room 9083. Is the luggage noise only on the last night? Yes just the night and its aweful, but some people will sleep thru anything. I see that youre on the other side of he corridor so it should not affect you. 9086 is the worst because the head of the bed is right where all the noise is.
