Are you sure it was $250 pp? Right now Carnival is having a sale with deposits of $50 pp, which would be a total of $250. Call and talk to another Carnival person.

It's on select sailings. The date she is looking at may not be included.

I got this info from a fellow CC'er some months back and saved it. It looks accurate except that when I booked a 12 day European and 16 day transatlantic a couple of years ago the deposit was only $400pp. Maybe it has changed??

Cruise Length Deposit Amount Final Payment Due Date

3 nights ------- $100 per person --- 60 days prior to sailing

4 nights ------- $150 per person --- 60 days prior to sailing

5 nights ------- $200 per person --- 60 days prior to sailing

6 & 7 nights --- $250 per person --- 75 days prior to sailing

8 nights ------- $300 per person --- 75 days prior to sailing

10 & 11 nights - $400 per person --- 75 days prior to sailing

Alaska --------- $350 per person --- 75 days prior to sailing

12, 14 & 16 ---- $500 per person --- 90 days prior to sailing

That's odd. We were able to book at $50 per person (I have a total of 4) but then again, we just chose a 7 day cruise. Maybe that's the difference?? :/

My TA sent this to me a few days ago. The $50.00 per person reduced deposit is on select sailings. They don't have them listed. Maybe the OP can look at some other dates if possible but I think most of these are during summer 2014 sailings.

thanks for all the advice. I will keep my eyes out for a booking promo.

What month and year are you looking at? There are some $50.00 per person promos but it's select sailings and you really can't tell until you do a fake booking or have a TA check it out for you.

I did a fake booking today. It was still available on the Carnival website.

It's not on ALL sailings, though, I got the email and when i booked it was $250 PP, (7 night Pride 9/2015) I called my PVP, he said the $50 deposit was only "select sailings", further review of the email clarified that for me.

In January they had 50.00 deposit on ALL sailings, FEB they went to 50.00 deposit on all 2014 sailings, the recent one was 50.00 deposits on Certain Sailings only.

Get yourself a PVP (carnival TA) and let them know you want to book, but only when the deposit is cheaper. I did this early January, actually the Wednesday before the 50.00 sales started. The day it started (Sunday I believe) My PVP called me at 10am, and I booked.

A PVP is there to be your personal planner, so call and ask for one, then tell them what you want to do, and they will alert you as soon as it fits your criteria, without you having to check daily.
