drgrinch Posted March 21, 2014 #26 Share Posted March 21, 2014 Tours were not offered on our previous HAL cruise (Amsterdam) but we did take a $150 ship's tour with Princess last fall. Additionally, Princess offers a Chef's Table special dinner party for about $90 more. Both of these were once in a lifetime experiences in our opinion (RKACRUISER makes an excellent point here) - so do take HAL's tour if it is available. Sadly for Princess, the rest of the cruise was simply not up to what we have experienced with HAL so we are now confirmed HAL loyalists for our third and future cruises. Perhaps HAL might consider adding the special Chef's Table dinner in the future? Given the general superiority of HAL's cuisine to PCL, it would be something to experience! It's not the traditional "table in the kitchen" type though.
