Lydia B. Posted March 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2014 By that I am asking if you can use your NCL sign and sail card to get funds to gamble with? I know a lot of the ships now have these, but am unsure about the Spirit. I don't want to have to get money from the ATM or casino cashier and incur an additional charge. Thank you. garycarla Posted March 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2014 On NCL you do not use your card to get money. You use cash only. To get extra you go to cage to charge to room, or use ATM. If you get cash and charge to onboard account, there is a 3% service charge. Makes ATM look cheap. (or just take a few thousand in cash with you)
Fishbait17 Posted March 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) As far as I know, the "updated" slots are only available on the Breakaway, and (I assume) the Getaway. They were not available on the Gem last week. Not sure if they will ever be updating those systems, at least not anytime soon, as the BA and GA have completely different systems than the other ships. Not sure of the ATM fees, but at some point they become cheaper than the 3% charge (ie if the ATM fee is $5.00, it's cheaper to use the cash advance on a $100 withdrawal, but the ATM becomes much cheaper on a withdrawal over $200).
