Demagraphics on Getaway

What are the demographics on the Getaway and how lively are the onboard activities? We are early 50s and have sailed twice on Carnival. Loved those. We did the Celebrity Equinox and although it is a beautiful ship we found it to be very boring. We are booked for an upcoming cruise on the Carnival Breeze but are contemplating the Getaway for our next booking. It looks like a beautiful ship.

We did the carnival breeze last spring break and we just got off the getaway last week. The parties on the Breeze were great and they played really good party music. The getaways parties are ok, but not as hype as carnival. But the activities, shows and practically everything else on the Getaway

was 100% better.

My wife and I are in our mid-50's and were on the Getaway last week (I have posted a review elsewhere on this forum). While it was Spring Break, we thought there was a pretty good mix of people. Lots of activities, shows, dining opportunities, etc. for all ages. Most of the "parties/events" were at Spice H2O on Deck 16 aft. You could go and check them out and take part or not--totally up to you. It is a great ship--you will definitely enjoy her.

Demographics on any ship depend completely on the time in question and the length of the cruise. NCL demographics in general are comparable to those on RCCL and CCL so there is usually a good mix of different age groups on week long cruises that also Getaway does.

Just got off the Getaway this morning. Although spring break is in full swing, we thought it was still a good mix of age groups. As another poster said, most parties in the evening are in the Spice H2O. We had a great time!

Look forward to hearing about it, Vanessa!
