Limit on check in luggage...wt or dimensions

Whirl,

Airlines vary. Check with your carrier. They are all pretty strickt about weight restrcitions. United charges $50 per bag if it's over their weight limit up to 75# and then another $50.

If you have one bag that weighs 60# and another that weighs 40# you will pay the $50.

I know that you don't want to be transfering your "goodies" from one suitcase to the other at the check-in counters to balance out the weight.

Your bags cannot weigh more than 50lbs for domestic flights and 70lbs for international flights. Your bags cannot exceed a total of 62 inches when you add the height, length and width of the bag.
