Venice Embarkation Question

What happens to luggage checked in for med cruise on Ventura? Do we reclaim at Venice airport? What's the best way to do luggage labels? Thanks

Luggage is almost like Southampton. We few Birmingham -> Genoa then Venice -> Birmingham. We checked in and picked up at BHX, but the luggage from the other airports to/from the ship was handled by P+O - e.g. on arrival we didn't see it until it turned up in the cabin.
