wpgcycler Posted April 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Does anyone know if Publix on Biscayne Blvd sells wine boxes? They do gave a pretty good sized wine section. I bought bottles (which I never drank:rolleyes: ) but I'd be shocked if they had no boxes.
sammysetra Posted April 5, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks. I've been to Publix and I remember the extensive wine selection. We're undertaking a transatlantic and I'd like to secret a box in our cabin!!

Phxazzcruisers Posted April 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks. I've been to Publix and I remember the extensive wine selection. We're undertaking a transatlantic and I'd like to secret a box in our cabin!! You are allowed two BOTTLES of wine per stateroom. If you try to bring on a box, you stand a good chance that it will be taken away at checking and returned after the cruise, so you will not be able to enjoy it in your stateroom. I would bring the bottles and not tae the chance.
PinotBlanc Posted April 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Does anyone know if Publix on Biscayne Blvd sells wine boxes? Double check what time you can buy wine if it's available. Florida has rules like not before 8am, except Sunday - then not before noon, and never a box that exceeds 3 liters. I'm not sure of these rules just remember it is different than getting wine in other places. Penny
memory-minus Posted April 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 5, 2014 You are allowed two BOTTLES of wine per stateroom. 750ml bottles only? What about 1.5L magnums or 3L double magnums? :)
Phxazzcruisers Posted April 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2014 750ml bottles only? What about 1.5L magnums or 3L double magnums? :) The rules clearly state 2 750 ml bottles per stateroom
tomcruiser1234 Posted April 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted April 5, 2014 We have brought the 1 or maybe 1.5 liter boxes on several times in the past, can't remember the exact size but not the biggest box. 1 red 1 white. Just easier the the 750 mil bottles. I guess they could fuss but just don't like the glass and they don't make a box to my knowledge in the 750 size. Ok flame but not trying to beat the system just easier to carry. We don't smuggle booze and have a pretty healthy bar bill....
