When in St. Thomas I would definitely check into spending the day on a tour with Godfrey. We booked with him in Jan. '05. He is absolutely the best. He will pick you up at the ship, drop you off in town for a couple of hours of shopping, then take you on a tour of the island. He will then take you to the beach of your choice (Meghans Bay, Coki Beach or Sapphire Beach) for 2 hours, then back to the ship. He does all of this for $20.00 per person and you pay him at the end. We tipped him another $20 (for 2 of us) - worth every penny!!

We really enjoyed ourselves and Godfrey loves his island. He is a wealth of knowledge concerning recent and past history of St. Thomas and the surrounding islands.

Hope this helps. You can find more info about Godfrey on these boards. I have yet to find a review where someone did not "love" their day spent with Godfrey.

Definetly do the Godfrey tour, you can go to his website and book it with him, its $20.00 per person and you pay at the end of the tour, if for some reason you change your mind that morning you pay nothing, you are not out of the money. I just used him on the 7/8 legend, and I booked a personal tour since there was 9 in my party, We paid $30.00 per person because it was

considered a private tour. We went shopping for 1 1/2 hours and then took a tour for 1 1/2 to 2 hours and then went to the beach for 3 hours. They were waiting for us when we got off the ship, and the tour guide Tony was so nice and wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to book them.

I just walked around San Juan, went to the shops and the casino at night, and to senior frogs to get my son. Tortola I did the same. My husband and brother in law and our friends went Horseback riding in the rain forest in Puerto Rico, they booked it with Carnival. Have a great trip it was wonderful, Im jealous, I wish I was going all over again.

Hi, I just sailed on the Carnival Legend and did take the excursion to Lambert Beach in Tortola. It was absoluely wonderful, but very overpriced. We paid $80 per person for the transportation and lunch. Some fellow cruisers paid $6 each way by private taxi. There is no way the lunch was $68 per person so you might want to do something on your own. Just be careful in case you can't get transportation back to the ship on time. That's one of the reasons I paid the tour price (and I think there's insurance involved as well). The beach was beautiful and the weather magnificant. Just hold on for the ride of your life. The ride up and down the mountains is a bit scary but so amazingly beautiful (take pictures).

Have a wonderful time!
