New to cruising. What do deck plan codes for Enchantment mean?

Hi! My husband and I are new to cruising and are planning on booking a cruise on Enchantment of the Seas for August of this year. We will be getting an exterior cabin, but I am a little confused about the different deck codes (G1, G2, H and I). Other than the different locations on the ship, are there differences between these cabins? Thank you!

Sometimes the designations are based on perceived better locations. Sometimes they are based on whether the stateroom can handle more than 2 people. Sometimes they are based on if the stateroom is a larger size. You can check out the deck plans here:

Thanks for the info. Looks like all those rooms are the same size. Must have something to do with their location I guess.

Codes with 1 seem to be cabins that can be up to 3 or 4 passengers, and ending in 2 is just available for 2, maybe?
