sjcruiser Posted April 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2014 WOW, I guess you're right. When you leave from NY it can happen, and there use to be a few photos on CC showing winter cruises with snow on deck, or the crew removing it.
Eng23 Posted April 14, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2014 I haad snow last month on the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore. It snowed all the way down the Chesapeake Bay. That's about 8 hours of snow! Fortunately it was all at night so there was nothing to see outdoors anyways....

irishlizz Posted April 15, 2014 #22 Share Posted April 15, 2014 March 16, 2013 - NYC to Long Beach via the Panama Canal. This was a first but even with the snow it was still a lot WARMER than the day before when I left New Hampshire. :p
goofycruiser Posted April 16, 2014 #23 Share Posted April 16, 2014 We were on that Panama Canal cruise last March. They held the Muster Drill outside and it was snowing quite hard and very cold. Someone built a small snowman on the Lido deck. We were able to use the hot tubs the next day but it was still too cold to sit outside. By the the third day, it was very comfortable. Sailing out of NYC is a great experience even in the winter! We have done it several times and sailing past the Statue of Liberty is unforgettable!
