July 4th on the Dawn

Hi, We are cruising out on the 4th. Does the ship have anything going on?

We were on the Dawn last year over the 4th of July. I have to say, the ship did a fantastic job. They had a wonderful celebration around the pool, and it was announced over the speaker system and in the dailies. There were even costumes (someone was dressed like the statue of liberty!) The captain made a nice speech, and we all sang patriotic songs. It actually made me tear up. I also noticed that a lot of the passengers were in patriotic bathing suits and clothing. It was really wonderful.

Thanks for the reply! that is kinda what we were thinking for a celebration. We got on the ship when you got off (July5).

I am so looking forward to it. 7 days just doesn't seem enough time to me! By the time I start to relax, it's time to pack and come home :( I'm lucky I have a great boss who will let me be gone 2 weeks in a row.
