Spreadsheet example

Does anybody have an example of a spreadsheet they've used to compare multiple cruises? I'm trying to make something, but instead of making it easier to see the differences, it just looks like a mess.

Can you post? :)

I don't have anything but if I were to do it I'd do something like:

Each row would be an attribute that matters to me, something like:

  • Ship name
  • Itinerary/Ports visited
  • Length of cruise
  • # Days at sea
  • # Days in port
  • Formal nights
  • New/Old Menu
  • "2.0" Upgraded? (Or last drydock)
  • Best price found + Sailing date
  • Ship class/extra stuff like Red Frog Pub, Cucina del Capitano, etc

...and then each column would be for each ship.

Great idea or example, and one that I'll use in the future.

There is an old and new menu? How do I know which one the ships have?

Only four ships right now

The two ships doing 3&4 day itins out of Long Beach.

The Glory and another ship (same port) doing the 7 day itin.

Thanks, but I'm just looking for examples of what other people's spreadsheets look like. I know what I want to compare, but when I put it down on the spreadsheet, it just looks like a jumbled mess. :o I'm more interested in comparing prices, too. We'll have two cabins and one will have a balcony and I'm trying to compare inside vs. OV for the other, too.

I usually have something like this:

Ship

Number of Days

Room Cat

Base Price

Taxes

Gratuities

Airfare

Total

Cost/Day

I don't have a developed spreadsheet, but I usually create this in google docs when researching. Considering I basically spreadsheet everything, I was suprised that I didn't have this. Will give me something to work on tomorrow night.
