Chenega Posted April 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) According to a story in the Anchorage Daily News on April 19 (http://www.adn.com), Carnival Cruise Lines is canceling 15 port calls to Ketchikan between May 25 and August 31, 2014. A "technical issue" has lowered the speed of the Carnival Miracle from 21 knots to between 18 and 20 knots. As a result, Ketchikan will be passed by in favor of longer port hours in Juneau. The story further states that Ketchikan port stops on May 4, 11, 18 and September 7 and 16 will not be affected.
