Just got off the Legend

I am not doing a full review but I did want to say that we had an awesome time. I was traveling with family and friends and have a 6 year old and almost 3 year old who both loved the Camp Carnival. The Cruise director and assistant cruise director were awesome!!! Especially the assistant Mike. I don't think I have had a better pair on a ship before. The Piano Bar was our favorite adult hang out and the entertainment was great. The new waterworks was good as was the Red Frog Pub. I did not get a chance to check out the Bonsai Sushi or the Steakhouse but heard both were very good. We had an extended balcony on Panaroma Deck and after reading some reviews was concerned about noise under the Lido Deck but it really was not an issue at all and we barely noticed anything. I can answer any specific questions but just wanted to say that we had a great time and the staff was wonderful! This was my 11th or 12th cruise and 6th with Carnival and definitely one of my favorites.

Okay, the most pressing matter on my mind....Did they have limes onboard. I heard that because of the lime shortage they were using lemons in their place. I can't have a gin and tonic without limes.

Thanks in advance. I sail next Sunday. I am glad you had a great time.

We also were on this same cruise.

Cruise directors were great.

The ship was great.

The staff was great.

Room steward was great.

Son and his wife tried the Sushi and said it was fantastic.

Pizza (although slow) was yummy, as was the ice cream

Waiter was wonderful, but assistant waiter apparently just started this week, so he was a mess. Oh well.

Our pre-cruise hotel - Quality Inn & Suites near Fairgrounds Ybor City was excellent!

The only shows in the lounge we watched were the illusionist (which was fine except for the dancing) and the Hasbro Game Show. We went to see the comedians; I liked one of the comedians, did not care for the other 3.

We did not play any BINGO. $15 for one card = ridiculous.

As usual, tendering at Grand Cayman and Belize was a big PITA.:(

Hubby came out a little ahead in the casino. I never played because the smoke was just too much for me.

Husband and Daughter in Law went down the new green slide and loved it.

Son, Daughter (who is pregnant) and Son in law passed on that.

Hubby and I never used the hot tubs, but the one time son and daughter in law went to use the one in serenity (about 8pm at night) it was closed, as was one of the other ones. The only one open was the middle one, which was of course full.

Tampa Port/Terminal: Not a fan - long walk from parking garage to terminal. Disembarking: We did self assist and the line formed in the casino. The paper they give you in the room said self assist would start at 9:00, but we starting heading off around 8:45 am. To get out of the terminal, you must get in line for the (one) elevator unless you have a hand totally free for the escalator. Case in point: While we were waiting in line for the elevator, we heard someone drop their luggage on the escalator, which triggered it to stop. They had to empty the escalator so that they could restart it.

All in all, it was wonderful. Now I must get back to work to rest from my vacation and start making money for our next cruise :D

SHOWS - I enjoyed all the stage shows. I remarked on them around 4/14 or so. They were on level with a college or university with a big budget for costumes and sets. If you like variety/ musical reviews you should like some. If you read my earlier comments I mentioned that our family has a lot of music/theater/dance people so I've attended tons of professional/pre-professional performances.

I only saw one show which was the an illusionist show. It was good.

The balcony was a decent size. It fit two chairs and one lounger. We had our family of four sitting out there together a few times and there was enough room.
