Ultimate Drink Package - have I got the rules straight?

My partner and I are taking parents on the Sun. Thinking of buying my partner the drink package (his birthday is during the sailing)...but here is the issue.

 

I dont drink alcohol (20+ years sober) and my parents (whose cabin will also be on my VISA payment card), never ever drink.

 

So based on what I read, I cannot buy it just for him,right ?

 

(No, I am not asking for a special case/exception, just want to make sure I understand and have the most current info. I totally understand why NCL would have the all or nothing passenger policy)

So, just pay per drink which in many cases is a better deal anyways.

You could buy him some NCL on board credit to use for drinks through the

NCL website!

There is also a bar set up for the cabin, but I don't know how you feel about having a bottle of alcohol in the cabin since you're 20+ years sober (congratulations :D ) It is a little pricey but here's the info:

Bar Set-Up is available for all stateroom categories.
