Hotel for Pre AND Post FLL

We're familiar with cruising out of FLL. We've never stayed an extra night there though after a cruise. I know many hotels have free shuttle from the airport, but does anyone know of a nice hotel near 17th St that will pick you up from the port and take you back to the hotel?

Want to book asap with it being a holiday weekend in Jan.

THere's a map here, http://www.parkingstay.com/p/ft-lauderdale.html that shows which hotels offer shuttles and any addition charges for shuttles. Be aware that the cost of a shuttle will probably be equal to or more than what a taxi would cost you as it is such a short distance.

That's true. Maybe we should just take a taxi as we know they'll be plenty of those!

Pre Cruise, the 17th Street Causeway area is ideal. Definitely don't bother with a shuttle (unless it's free). Embassy Suites is probably the most recommended on here.

 

Post Cruise . . . it's really up to what you want to do. 17th Street area again is fine, personally I like to recommend the DoubleTree Gallery One. It's probably a $10 or $15 ride more from the port and the same to the airport the next day . . . but it's in a really good spot between the Galleria Mall and the beach with a water taxi stop on the back.
