Freeport and Nassau

I like Grand Lucayan in Freeport, it's a pretty long taxi ride but well worth it.

Nassau has a couple nice golf courses, but that's probably not the answer you're looking for. I don't really care for that port and the last two times we stayed on the ship and had more fun than whenever we get off there.

Never been to Freeport, but here are some ideas for Nassau

* walking tour (maps and directions available thru google)

* Rum distillery (Watlings)

* Greycliff (chocolate factory, cigar rolling, luncheon)

* day pass at one of the hotels

* free beach (walk to it) Junkanoo

* the straw market

* have a meal at the Fish Fry

We have visited twice. The first time we did Blackbeard's Cay stingray adventure, which is now owned by Carnival and called Balmoral Bay.

We also did a Segway tour, which was a lot of fun. The one we did is now closed, but there is another one operating.

In Freeport, we are planning on taking a taxi to the Brewery for a tour and tasting. We are only in port from 7-1.
