Quick review of the Connie 4/19 - 4/24 - Good bad and ugly

Quick review of our last cruise on the Connie, I won't bore you with our flights and hotels pre-cruise, all that was fine.

 

We got to pier 900 or whatever it was around 10:45 we had to wait a while to check in about 20 mins. Ft. Lauderdale is sort of weird compared to Miami.

 

We went in through the suite line, the girl took all of our info. and went to get our keys, she was gone a couple of minutes and I could see her rifling through the keys looking for ours. She started to walk back without keys and I of course thought ohh ohh there is a problem. There wasn't - another girl came with our keys and escorted us to Michaels Club, as soon as we boarded the Hotel Director was there to meet us.

 

Michaels was OK nothing really special, hopefully it gets better when all the suite perks are invoked.

 

We left Michaels early because we had friends to meet that were not in a suite + we wanted to be outside in the Sunset bar.

 

I don't get all the slow service comments I have seen on here recently, our service was excellent. A little slow on the 1st day because of the large crowd at the bar.

 

Before you read the rest you should know the following

 

1. We don't eat in the MDR

2. We don't hang by the pool

3. We don't go to shows

 

So if you are looking for comments about these area's you will not find them here.

 

 

We sat at the bar until our rooms were ready, we were in 6147 PH suite it was awesome here are some pics. I had emailed the concierge about a birthday surprise for my wife, as you can see they had hung a ton of birthday things in the room and had gotten her special flowers, she loved it.

We had the same Penthouse for my 60th and it was awesome. The only problem we have is that we cannot return to a regular verandah room again !!!
