I'm sure your cruise line will have a bus that will take you from the ship to the Seattle airport - very easy to do (luggage will be taken care of) and convenient to get through customs that way. You might want to check with the cruise line excursions for Vancouver and see what they offer.

 

We took Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver and the bus back to SEA after the cruise.

Fly, bus (Quickcoach, Greyhound), train (2 x day), rental car. Flying the fastest and most expensive, bus blah, train scenic and cheap, car gives the most flexibility.

Where do you want to spend those few days?

 

That would be the most important determining factor for me.

 

I would decide that first, and then figure out which the best way would be to get to SEA from there to fly out.

We rented a car for about $85. Pretty sure it was Alamo and the car rental was right inside Canada Place as soon as you get off the ship. It was a one way rental with no extra fee. book early. Was cheaper than any other option and we drove through some very scenic parts of Washington then went and toured Seattle and stayed one great night at Homeward suites. Dropped the car off next day at SEA and flew home. Easy peasy

I'll tell you what we're doing after we return from our 1st Alaskan Cruise on Monday September 1st. We are taking the quick shuttle http://www.quickcoach.com from Canada Place Pier to downtown Seattle. The Vancouver Entertainment book has a 50% off coupon for Quick Shuttle. We are then staying one night in Downtown Seattle and will visit the local attractions (Pike Place Market, Space Needle, etc) and then flying back on Southwest to Columbus Ohio on Tuesday September 2nd. Even with the hotel and transportation it will still be less than flying back from Vancouver.
