jo797 Posted July 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2005 We are going on the Constellation in December, and wanted to know if anyone knew if there was a dolphin swim excursion in any of the ports we are visiting. We are going to Dominican, St. Kitts, Barbados, St. Thomas, Grenada. Any help would be appreciated.
OPSoccermom Posted July 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2005 Did the Constellation southern route last year. I do not recall any dolphin excursions, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. We researched companies before booking with Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel this spring. I would do a Google search on dolphin encounters/swims and see where they are located. Most are franchises of a few large dolphin encounter companies. Recommend booking directly if you can and bypassing the cruise line. Most of the dolphin companies offer higher end programs with more personal time with the dolphins then they do excursions booked through the cruise lines at a lower cost. The only island I'd be nervous about going on your own is Grenada, and based on what we saw there, I'm pretty sure there is no dolphin encounter there. teedee Posted July 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2005 If you go to the Ports of Call boards you might have a better chance of getting an answer. Lots of good info over there, often from people who live on the islands. Terri
