ormy Posted June 6, 2014 #51 Share Posted June 6, 2014 We booked for this July in April 2013 in order to get free AI. Guess what - checked last week and even paying £700 plus for AI the same cruise is £400 cheaper now, ok you may not get your cabin choice - but so what, you only sleep there. Will never book early again.
Sheila49 Posted June 6, 2014 #52 Share Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) We are the same. Ours is now £500 cheaper and the flights from Edinburgh, cabin and hotel (cruise and stay) are all still available two weeks before we go! Bodster Posted June 6, 2014 #53 Share Posted June 6, 2014 I can see even less of a reason to book early now, thanks for the replies, we have been looking at a few dates for next summer but will wait, or at least keep or eye on the prices.

Calomax Posted June 7, 2014 #55 Share Posted June 7, 2014 Yes but there a many like me that have no interest in cruising on these new all singing all dancing cruise ships with ice rinks, climbing walls etc and thousands of passengers Ditto, we want a ship that looks like a ship not a tower block. Thomson's ships suit us just fine. Small and friendly. We're now booked on Island Escape next May. Although we would prefer to be on the Spirit or Celebration, this one goes where we want to go when we want to go.
