WeRockChalkKU Posted April 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Wanting to book least expensive cabins and given Promenade Stateroom and Virtual balcony cabins as options. I figured a regular inside cabin would be the cheapest. I read the descriptions and now wonder if anyone can tell me the pros and cons of each type of room. Makes one think there must be negatives to these since they were the first ones offered. Thanks for any help/input/thoughts.

They are slightly larger than an inside because of the bay window and love seat. I think that it's one of the best values on the ship as it's priced just a little more than the insides. We try to get #6275 which is right across from the pub. It's a great place to people watch. Just remember to close the drapes! :o Joe
mom4mom Posted April 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2014 We sailed the NOS before the renovation that put in the virtual balcony so I can only comment on the promenade cabin. We love the promenade cabins and have booked them twice. On the Mariner we were on deck 7 right above the jewelry shop and on deck 6 in the same area but on the port side while on the Nav. I prefer deck 7 as it was less noisy. There must have been a speaker near our Nav cabin and I heard the thump of music many nights. If you book the promenade cabins remember to keep your curtains closed as people can see in. Those cabins are great for watching the parades and just for general people watching.
