Need-a-vacation Posted April 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2014 We booked 2 cabins - one for us and one for our kids, 19 and 14. There is a separate booking number for each cabin. Is that normal? The rep mentioned linking the kids cabin to our booking. How can I make sure they are properly linked? Why is it important they are linked? KarenMF Posted April 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2014 Yes - each cabin has its own booking number. Linking them is important because bookings that are linked will be seated together in the dining room. It also shows that the two cabins are booked by people who are together. sailingwithfriends Posted April 30, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2014 To make sure they are linked together, go to Carnival's website. Log in. Go to My Bookings. Go to check-in. It will allow you to link another room to your room. You will need both booking numbers and names of persons staying in cabin.
Need-a-vacation Posted April 30, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted April 30, 2014 I was able to add both rooms under "My Bookings". I didn't know if that was because they are linked or if I'd be able to add any booking if I had the booking number and other information. I added it using the "Add a Booking" link on the main "my Cruises" page. How far into the online check-in do I have to go to link the two rooms? SadieN Posted April 30, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Now. Call Carnival or have your TA confirm that they are linked. Nothing worse (maybe?) than kids eating late and the adults eating early.
DKF97 Posted April 30, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2014 I knew ours were linked this time when I went into the booking for our room to purchase a shore excursion and the kids' names popped up to be added along with ours. On our last cruise they weren't linked and I had to purchase shore excursions separately for each room. That was the only thing I noticed but we don't eat in the dining room or anything, so it didn't matter for that.

I did a pretend shore excursion and all of us were listed, so hopefully that's a good sign that they are linked. Both bookings have Your Time Dining, so that's not an issue. MissKIA Posted April 30, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Another way to tell is, when Carnival sends you your confirmation email, or the email they send whenever you make a payment, at the bottom of that page there will be a bunch of small print type stuff that no one usually pays attention to. Well it will say there what other booking numbers you are linked to.
