beachbum764 Posted April 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) As we are planning our next cruise, I looked up my favorite sundress store on eBay(that I found on this board :)) and found this sale. Thought I would share as these are always the dresses I wear on our cruises (silky material that is not "sticky"). I purchased the 2 longer ones and cannot believe the quality for price. I already had plenty of the shorter style but still a great deal if you need some. Enjoy the deal! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321381893752&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT Here is the link to the shorter sundresses - 3 for $17.99 ! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321367196296&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321381893752&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT Edited April 30, 2014 by beachbum764

These measurements are smaller than most junior sizing. Is this how you found these dresses to be sized? I ordered both the long pack and the short pack in a size XL - I wear a size 12 on my "diet" days and a size 14 on most days :) . My bust is 38-40 - both the longer and shorter dresses fit perfectly in the XL. The material is super stretchy. Hope this helps!

romeojuliette Posted May 13, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 13, 2014 (edited) BIG THANK YOU!! for posting these dresses. I usually only "stalk" on the boards and do not post, however this was such a good deal, I wanted to thank the OP for putting it out there. I ordered the longer pack and was a bit skeptical because of the price (you can't buy rags this cheap!) but once I received my dresses, I could not be happier. This is an unbelievable deal. The 2-pk of longer dresses had 2 different longer dresses: one that comes to the ankle and the other one is mid-calf, beautiful prints/colors both have spandex which gave me a good fit. I am buying the shorter ones today!! Thanks again :) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321381893752&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT Edited May 13, 2014 by romeojuliette

Kellie Poodle Posted May 20, 2014 #11 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Thanks for the heads up I ordered the three pack. I hope the colors are nice. I live in a semi-tropical area so they seem just right for our climate. We also do a month-long RV trip each summer and they look perfect for that. Easy to pack, easy to wash. If they get really messed up, throw them out.

I can wear a strapless or put a tank top underneath and a regular bra. Thanks for the heads up. The company should give you a commission :D

But honestly, with the prices being so low, I almost feel like I should give them a tip or something. I just bought another pack of the longer dresses. I'm addicted!! These are so comfortable I am finding it hard to wear my other clothes now that it has gotten hot and muggy! Glad this deal worked out for you :)
romeojuliette Posted June 21, 2014 #14 Share Posted June 21, 2014 I continue to be addicted to these dresses!! If I do not stop ordering, I am not going to have any money left for my cruise! Athankfulheart Posted June 25, 2014 #18 Share Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) I love RetailSOS and I originally found them through this forum years ago. I have some of the short Vneck ones and some surplice empire waist maxi. I recently bought a medium ( inspiration for my January cruise weigh loss) black dress that I actually plan to wear on formal night. We are cruising the Valor our of SJ and packing 1 "Ebags motherlode weekender junior"each and no other bags. Actually we will be in SJ for a week surrounding the cruise too. Since these dresses always pack completely wrinkle free and take up hardly any space, this is totally doable. This place is one of very few who have maxi dresses for short gals like me :o http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-SWEETHEART-BANDEAU-MAXI-SPANDEX-SUNDRESS-BEACH-CRUISE-S-M-L-XL-/221388012959?pt=US_CSA_WC_Dresses&var=&hash=item338bc0fd9f Edited June 25, 2014 by Athankfulheart
bowsprit Posted July 17, 2014 #19 Share Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks for everyone that shared the links, I have now bought 5 and love them all. As I am 5 foot tall, I had to shorten most of them. I just serged the bottom and then turned it up and hand stitched them. As everyone has mentioned, they are comfortable and so easy to pack. Then I let the serger cut and serge in one step. Would a blind hem stich work too? Love to see your dresses. Enjoy wearing them.
meatball_nyc Posted July 17, 2014 #21 Share Posted July 17, 2014 Thank you ladies for the posts. bowsprit Posted July 19, 2014 #22 Share Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Geo, My sewing machine just does not handle slippery fabric as well as it should. Even using the right foot and the stretch stitching, the hem does not lay as flat as I would like it. So I just have some quiet time and do a loose overstitch by hand. I actually enjoy hemming by hand. It is calming. About the dresses, after being turned on to the advantages of them on this thread, I went looking elsewhere also. I found a couple on TJ Maxx inline. They cost about $20 . I also found my most expensive one ( $29 ) at Chicos outlet online. I am waiting for the Amazon sellers to get more colors back in stock and I will order a few more. A couple of the styles are suitable for plane travel with the addition of a shrug. And I am seeing more women traveling in long dresses these days. Here is one of the places I found some nice dresses http://www.ebay.com/itm/Women-Summer-Chic-Long-Length-Maxi-Clubbing-Dress-Exotic-Boho-Casual-Sundress-/111123506243?pt=US_CSA_WC_Dresses&var=&hash=item19df7a2443 Edited July 19, 2014 by bowsprit
