Does Carnival ever? ......Sale

Royal Caribbean is having a buy one, get 50% off the second person sale. Does Carnival ever do this?

 

I'm planning a back to back in 2015.....4 people, 2 cabins. Just compared Royal & Carnival (I'm a Carnival cruiser) and Royal is so much more affordable with this deal. $6200 instead of $7900.

 

But......would have trade out the second itinerary and lose the Aruba ports.

Before people start crying foul, and how evil Carnival is, and how they feel like its bait and switch, and all the other nonsense I've read recently, IF Carnival EVER decided to do a 50% off second person promotion, it will undoubtedly be based on the FULL FARE, Fun Select rate, not some other discounted rate.

If one has booked a mid ship upper deck balcony at a high price, how can you compare a price on RCCL when prices start at the low end?
