You poor thing, you keep asking about the Breeze, and everyone is hung up on how much you paid on another cruise, your wandering 10-year old, and the "Grown up" son that quite frankly would be paying for his own insurance if living in my house.

So on to the Breeze; Eat early at Guy's Burger Joint, everyone raves about the burgers. Get a spa pass to the Cloud Nine Spa for the thermal suite. Enjoy yourself.

Thank you for all the tips! I wasn't aware that they sold passes. My son is going to school to be a chemical engineer, he has been brining home all A's and B's. That's the only reason why I'm still paying for his insurance.

Two years ago we booked a last minute cruise on Celebrity Eclipse, it turned out to be a foodie themed cruise. It had fun aspects, we like the crepe place a lot, we like taking the sushi making class (fee), and the french restaurant was delicious.

The MDR, the waiter brought me the completely wrong meal, never had that happen on any other cruise. Pasta verse Pork that I ordered. The italian restaurant was complete disappointment I really should have demanded money back, slow service, food was not tasty, about 3-4 different servers so had no idea who to flag down when needed refill. Qzine, food was good, but the iPad thing is overrated we showed her want we wanted on the screen and she WROTE it down on her order pad? The Ipads aren't connected to the kitchen for orders?

I also didn't like the adult pool was covered, no retractable roof either, so no sun tanning. And the main pool...I went out there the last sea day and was impressed by the staff monitoring people, like no drinks in pool and they ended the congo line led by a main wearing a knitted hat shaped like a penis. Yes...on celebrity, so please spare the comments about the "class" of people on Carnival. There are good and bad passengers on every ship.

IMO, food and service have always stood out as the best on Carnival.

I've sailed Oceania, Disney, Celebrity and Carnival. Last Memorial Day, my family and I went on a four day cruise on the Sensation. The company my husband works for was very short on pilots and he was rescheduled for more flying. Because his company scheduled him for so many hours, they had to pull his next trip! So, with extra time off my husband told me to book a family cruise. Disney, quoted me over $ 20,000 for a four day cruise I thought that was ridiculous' and the only other cruise that fit our time frame was Carnival!

We were shocked at how much fun our whole family had. The food was better then Celebrity's and Disney's. The service was better then Celebrity's and the price was amazing. I couldn't believe how much fun we had, even though it rained most of the day when we were in Nassau. We still had a blast. My husband and I were on the Summit in February. We booked an aqua class room as usual. We love Persian gardens, the steam rooms are so relaxing. We booked all of our excursions through them and they were all wonderful! Their coffee was wonderful this time, it was off on our last cruise with them. I fully planed on doing a full photo review of my cruise, but I didn't! Because the cruise was not good. We spent over $6000.00 more on this cruise then we did on our sensation cruise. Celebrity just didn't compare! Carnival wins, my daughter and I love folding towels now!

My husband and I were done with cruising! We decided that our next vacation would be on land. We booked airfare, rental cars and two hotel rooms in Poipu Kauai. Then we got the email, the one tempting us with ridiculously low interline rates. My husband said there is no way that the price is real! We were able to cancel everything for Kauai, we are now booked on the breeze. We just couldn't resist a deal after paying taxes, college tuition, dorm room, books, meal plan and our oldest son totaled the new car his grandparents bought for him. He was hit by an uninsured unlicensed driver. So we kicked in extra money to ensure he got a safe and reliable vehicle. The big brat threw a fit and demanded I return his new car because it didn't have a built in navigation system and seat heat. We live in the south, and our insurance company raised our rates a $1000.00 every six months. He is not coming on the cruise!

My husband and I will be traveling with our 7, 9,10 year old children! We are leaving the brat at home to take care of the house and dog! We booked two cove balconies that are right next to each other. I have just a few questions.

1.) Can the balcony dividers be opened to connect the balconies?

2.) What is there internet like? My husband has some work stuff on a sea day and I would love to spy on my brat and check on my dog. We were just planing on bringing our iPads. Should we bring a lap top as well?

3.) Do they offer bottled wine packages? They offered one on the sensation and we really liked it. We usually drink a bottle at dinner. We are not going to do the cheers package. We are traveling with our kids and we need to be responsible! To much alcohol and I'll want to sleep till noon! My children wouldn't be happy!

4.) Our 10 year old gets a little distracted and he sometimes wanders off. He is a very good kid, but he has so much energy. Any advice on ways to keep tabs on him? I definitely plan on watching my children and making sure that they are aware that other people are on vacation and that their good time doesn't interfere or disturb others. They are seasoned travelers and they always whisper in the hallways, well almost alway's.

If any one has any other helpful advice, it would really be appreciated.

Yep, I got that interline email and said wow! i wanted to book several cruises immediately lol. Glad you were able to get in on it. We'll be on the Breeze in November, and no interline rate for us...we just booked ES for it. We were limited on spa cabins. Oh well....it's only money right lol. j/k of course. I love to save a buck! The Carnival Breeze is Carnival's best ship! Make sure to take advantage of the most underrated thing on the ship, the Thrill Theater. The waterslides are also some of the best on the seas. But most of all, the ship is drop-dead gorgeous. Don't go in expecting a lot in the way of entertainment though. You will have a great time, and Welcome to the Carnival Family!

You can get passes for the week or just a day. There is usually a spa tour the day you embark and they will offer specials.

The breeze is a lot bigger than the Sensation or the Summit.

Some things to mention -

Food -

There are a lot of food choices on the Breeze -

For lunch: Guys Burgers, Blue Iguana Burrito bar, Tandoori, Sea day BBQ, pasta bar

Brunch in the dining room on Sea days

For dinner: Bonsai Sushi (a la carte), Cucina del Capitano ($12), Steakhouse ($35) or the Main dining room

To Do:

Thrill theatre ($8 for one movie, unlimited for $15)

Ropes course

Waterslides and dump bucket

Mini golf course

Hasbro Game show

dive in movies

Plus the Breeze has the ocean plaza on deck 5 - with both indoor and outdoor seating - and hot tubs (usually not as busy as up on the Lido deck).

And it has a Serenity area for the adults

I love the Breeze in fact my June cruise will be my second time on this ship. I really liked the decor of the ship. It also has so many different places to eat, Guy's Burgers, Red Frog, The Blue Iguana, The Taste Bar, etc. My favorite. Places were the tandoori for the Indian food, the Blue Iguana for the tacos & breakfast burrito and Guy's Burgers. I won a little money in the casino but of course donated it right back. The music group that played most nights on the 5th deck by the Taste Bar was great, also the duet group who played in the Atrium was good. I really enjoyed the comedy shows. There is a lot to do on the Breeze!

Our last cruise was on the Breeze and we loved it!

It is a gorgeous ship with lots to see, do and eat :D

When facing Guy's Burgers, choose the line on the left, most people go to the right, not knowing their is a line on the left. Way faster!

The toppings bar has everything you need, just get a cheeseburger and add the bacon there instead of waiting for a Pig Patty.

Eat lots of the shaved raw onions on your burger, for me

DH recently said GB's should be required on all ships...teehee.

The "sparkly" bar out the rear entry to the Red Frog Pub has a lovely tall blonde lady that makes awesome drinks, if she's still there, best frozen drinks ever! We gave her 2 pink carabiners after she admired mine, very sweet.

The Red Frog Pub is lots of fun during trivia and has a great staff there!

The staff at the Red Frog Rum Bar on Lido are awesome fun guys!

Deck 5 is fabulous for hot tubbing and strolling the deck.

The casino staff was very personable and getting the Drinks on us Card was pretty easy!

The internet IS sketchy and YMMV.

I was thinking the same thing. She asked for some advice and everyone is just questioning her choices and validity. LOL This board, I tell ya...

1.) Can the balcony dividers be opened to connect the balconies? I don't THINK they can be opened with Cove balconies, but I am not positive. Hopefully someone else can confirm this.

2.) What is there internet like? My husband has some work stuff on a sea day and I would love to spy on my brat and check on my dog. We were just planing on bringing our iPads. Should we bring a lap top as well? The internet is just okay. It works, but it is very slow which is to be expected.

What a strange post! Why would anyone stay at Poipu Kauai when they could rent a beach house in North Kauai?

Burt

Poipu is the sunniest part of kauai! They also have great beaches that are safe for children! It also the driest part of the island, with great shopping and nearby amenities. It also happens to be the most popular spot on kauai for tourists because of its beaches, weather and location!

Why would anyone traveling with small children stay on the north shore! It is one of the wettest places on the island and it's beaches are among the most deadly with its strong currents and rip tides.

Didn't have my phone with me since I was sitting on the edge of the pool. It was the last sea day, of course final party but it was the family pool so very not appropriate...and of course the guy was angry that he was told to stop...well perhaps the conga line could have continued without the hat.

Thanks for the kind words! On our port stop in St Lucia, my husband surprised me with a helicopter ride to Martinique and the Jade island excursion for a valentines day present. He was trying to cancel an excursion that I had booked, when he was given attitude at the shore excursion desk. We always try to take one special trip a year, over or around valentines day and we like to splurge!

And to the other posters my husband and I are exceptionally kind people we treat everyone as a friend and an equal. I do tend to over share at times and Yes I babble. Our family doesn't smoke and we don't drink soda. However that is our family's choice I would never go on to a thread and start bashing people for there choices or how they spend their money! Nor would I judge you for it. It would be easy to sit on the ship all day and not do excursions or participate in extra cost activities as a way to save money. But that is not our families choice. We like to stay busy and we are always up for a new adventure. How many other people have dealt with selfish teenagers? My husband and I are fortunate enough to take several vacations a year and still help out our children and donate to our church and spend a little foolishly on our vacations. We are thankful everyday for our circumstances.

I have seen pictures of the dividers open on the cove balconies.

The balcony can only open to 1 of the cabins on each side of it. I know that if the rooms connect then you can't open the divider. So if you find a room that connects to another you know they can open to the cabin on the other side. This would give you a starting point to see if your two cabins could have the divider opened. Example: 2268 connects to 2272, so 2268 and 2264 can have the divider opened on the balcony, and 2272 and 2276 can have the divider opened. Each group of 2 after those can have the divider opened. Always remember connecting cabins will not allow for connecting balconies.
