seapad Posted May 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Going on the Allure - Western Carribean this Sunday :) Planning to book speciality restaurant on one of the port days (Day 3: Labadee; Day 4 Falmouth;) From previous posts,- Day 3 = Pimiento (Italian night) Jasmine; Another version Day 4 = Basil (Surf and Turf night - filet mignon - yummy!) Can someone who are recently on this ship - Western - advise if this is still true? Based on above information, seems like Day 3 (Italian night) would be an option for me. However, I have seen posts mentioning that while the name of the menu is same, but RCCL has switched dinner items around. Resulting that on the Basil night, there is no surf and turf, and just someone very ordinary....not sure what that is. And not sure if it is still Italian night on Day 3..... I am hoping someone can assist and advise which nights are: Lobster Surf and Turf? Much appreciated !!!!
Ken at the beach Posted May 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) Night 2 and either night 5 or 6 are The formal nights. Night 2 is the filet. Night 5 or 6 is the Lobster. It is part of the fishermns platter. There is no real surf and turf but many people, myself included order the steak that is always on the menu along with the lobster and create our own surf and turf. If you want a real surf and turf there is the up charge option available every night for a Chops filet and Maine lobster tail for $34.95 I believe that some of the posted menus on RCI's website have been changed such as the Basil menu that you mentioned.
