KT4209 Posted May 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2014 Please, could someone who has recently cruised the Carnival Breeze confirm whether the public smoking areas are port (left side while facing front of ship) or starboard (right side facing front of ship)? My confusion stems from reading Carnival's policy which states starboard ("Smoking (including cigars) will be permitted in designated exterior open deck areas (starboard side) of all our ships") while I have read several reviews stating port. Thank you all for any clarification.
Midwestgal Posted May 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2014 Just off Breeze its the port side of the ship. I'm a non smoker who travels with a smoker and we both agree that Breeze is very accommodating to smokers.

Thanks for sharing that info.
okgirl Posted May 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 13, 2014 (edited) On all ships except the Breeze and the Magic smoking is permitted on the Starboard side of the open decks. But on those two ship since the Red Frog Pub is located on the Port side of the ship they made that side smoking. Edit to Add: And on any ship that has the 2.0 upgrades on the Lido that include a Guy's burger there is no smoking on the Lido, you have to go one deck up. boaterette Posted May 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2014 (edited) The splendor also has no smoking on the lido deck and does not have guys burgers either. Smoking is at the back of the deck above overlooking the adult pool. Edited May 13, 2014 by boaterette more

Your correct...she had to go up to the next deck.
Moo's Mom Posted May 13, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 13, 2014 Was on the Breeze in January 2013. Smoking was allowed on left side of ship facing front. Our cabin was on the Lido and I walked up on deck to smoke. Easy peasy.
winddawn Posted May 13, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 13, 2014 But in spite of all the rules about smoking, it is rare that anyone enforces those rules. Carnival is synonymous with smoking.
Midwestgal Posted May 14, 2014 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2014 Carnival is synonymous with smoking. I have to say we didn't encounter many smokers at all on Breeze and we were on the deck so my friend could smoke. My guess is that most lines have their fare share of smokers , I wouldn't peg that title on Carnival.
sjcruiser Posted May 14, 2014 #12 Share Posted May 14, 2014 On the Breeze, directly above the Blue Iguana Cantina was already reserved for smokers. Its very windy up there though, even with a torch lighter.

Whether that is good or bad is up to the individual. :)

sjcruiser Posted August 11, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this thread !! You're welcome, and to further clarify my post on smoking above the Blue Iguana Cantina, that would be Port Side (left), middle and aft ship location.
