Wondering what to expect regarding age demographics for a few different cruises in Sept. and Oct. that we are looking at that include ports that include some or all of the following: Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel. Most of these cruises are about 2 wks. long. Can we expect nearly ALL of the passengers to be well past retirement age, or about retirement age? Is it likely there will at least be some 40 and 50 somethings?

While I am at it, I'm wondering about this same thing when it comes to most cruises that are 11 or 14 days with regard to Australia/New Zealand during the months of Sept.-Nov. and also Jan.-March as well as So. American cruises during the same months. Sure hope someone has some first hand knowledge and will share it!

If someone who has done cruises with similar itineraries at similar times of the year, please comment! Thanks.

I sailed Celebrity Equinox Med cruise Sept 12-26 last year. The passenger demographic ran the gamut from 20 somethings to retirees.

It was a round trip from Barcelona to Rome, Naples, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Athens and Malta.

I found that the largest percentage of passengers were from England, Ireland and Scotland.

It was the trip of a lifetime and one I hope to repeat.

You often find older people on cruises more than 7 days because they are retired and/or can afford a longer cruise.

However on a Princess cruise two years ago we HAD to be the youngest on board, 7 days, and we were 68 years old! In the atrium dance floor they had chairs around it. Every night people with hair greyer than mine sat there/some slept there and listened to a violin, cello and piano. We ended up most nights in our cabin as there was so little to do watching a movie on TV. But, next Princess cruise didn't get back to our cabin until 2am there was so much going on and a duo played in the atrium.

This years Princess was a Heart Association cruise with so many people signing up for CPR they added classes, everyone got a thick Heart Ass. cookbook and weren't in bed right after dinner. There were older passengers but we still had a lot of fun.
