Carnival Med 2015

If the Carnival Vista is launching winter/early 2016, it would be unlikely for the Carnival Vista to do Mediterranean or Baltic cruises. Peak season for European cruises on a cruise line that has a target demographic of American guests would be during the summer months. As Carnival stated the reason they pulled out of Europe was due to the same demographic no longer being able to justify the airfare for a European cruise, the ships were no longer sailing full and the return on investment was not as high as they would have liked, due to cruise fares being heavily discounted.

If Carnival struggled so much during the summer months, even with there being no school, they would be unable to do the same during the winter.

Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway both had their inaugural cruises during the same time period as the expected launch for the Carnival Vista. Those two ships had an inaugural cruise of a Transatlantic, where they would be able to have the ships sailing full with high profit.

John Heald is Carnival's brand ambassador. He has a blog and a Facebook page where you can write to him and get a trophy and chocolate covered strawberries sent to your cabin. His information is not always the most reliable, but he has a rather large fan base. Sometimes his fans join in with him attacking his guests who reach out to him or to Guest Services onboard with feedback or complaints. In the service industry, even a ridiculous complaint is valid.

What Missconnections meant to say was that John heald is Carnival's senior cruise director and brand ambassador. he has a massive fan base with 55,000 likes on his facebook page and many thousands of comments each day. He helps hundreds of people with celebrations and some more serious requests and has a blog that has 18 million readers. He is helpful, kind and funny and Missconenctions like a few here are very jealous of that fact . His FB page is why so few come here now . Ask him about Europe and you will get the right answer. All you will get here is guess work. Good luck.

Carnival is truly missing the boat by omitting Europe/Med cruises for so many; years now and not binging thme back in 2015. It has nothing to do with emissions as was recently off the NCL Epic and might be going on the Ocean Princess next year (very old ship). Carnival really should get bak in the game as they're the only ones not cruising Europe.

I think they definitely have something brewing because wHy else wOuld they have asked some of us to fill out a europe survey. From what I could tell, the ship will be leaving out of barcelona, rome or Athens. Those were the ports on the surveys I was asked which I would prefer.
