Good route Orlando to Port Everglades

Anyone have a suggestion on the best route from Orlando to Port Everglades with minimal time on the Turnpike?

 

I was looking at cutting over to I-95 via Hwy 192 but wasn't sure how congested 192 might be.

I would just take the 528 straight to I95 then Port Everglades. I 95 is a toll free road . 528 from Orlando to I95 is a toll road .

Keep in mind I-95 in south Florida is a nightmare! The road is awful, traffic can be horrific. I don't like paying the obscene tolls on the turnpike ($20+) but I do it rather than dealing with I-95. Life is too short to put up with I-95 when I don't have to.

purchase a Sun Pass transponder of you travel the turnpike a lot better route
