Jgilbert813 Posted May 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Ok, I'm sure this has been asked already but I couldn't find it so I'll ask again. Can you bring an additional 12 pack of soda onboard from port?. Our first stop is Key West and our intention is to bring a little more onboard. Thanks for the help... jjdmom8 Posted May 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2014 I always replenish our soda supply in ports. Never had a problem bringing them on.

IPlayWithString Posted May 19, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2014 Dunno. I *do* know that when we were in Nassau last June, we bought 3 Bahamanian bottled Coca-Colas and brought them on board with us. DH wished we hadn't, even though they were dead cheap ($1 for 3 12 oz cans). He drank around 1/3rd of his and there was so much sugar in it he immediately got a migraine. DS took like two sips of his and said, "This is yucky. I don't want it!" I ended up drinking mine plus what was left of DH and DS's and whoo. They must've added extra caffeine or something because I was like "Whoa."
RWolver672 Posted May 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 19, 2014 That is one big downfall of bringing on sodas from a port stop. It never tastes the same as what you are use to at home. The sweetener can be different and so can the water they use to make it.

maldenmusic Posted May 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 19, 2014 Yes, we usually bring some back on. As long as it's not open I've never had a problem.
seacat66 Posted May 19, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 19, 2014 i've bought coke at various ports over the years. i personally never noticed a taste difference. also, never had a problem bringing them back on the ship. years ago, i even brought a take out pizza back one time in aruba. (it was very late and back then there wasn't anything to eat that late.)
<3_2_Cruise Posted May 19, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 19, 2014 Every cruise, we purchase several canned sodas at each port as souvenirs. We've never had a problem getting back on the ship with them.
