pylorns Posted May 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Question along those lines - it seems quite a bit cheaper to fly into Ft. Lauderdale than Miami for a cruise- have people done this before for going on a Miami based cruise?

Lauderdale than Miami for a cruise- have people done this before for going on a Miami based cruise? Yes, we did that once for a Majesty cruise. Worked out well for us, we were outside the airport waiting for our shuttle 5 minutes after the plane got to the gate. All I remember from the Miami airport is lots and lots of walking. There are several shuttle services that will take you to the Port of Miami from FLL.

From there we book car service from FLL to Miami but shuttles are also an option.

Excellent - that's what I'm scheduled to be on is the Majesty - do you recall the cost of the shuttle service to the port?
Clarea Posted May 21, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Excellent - that's what I'm scheduled to be on is the Majesty - do you recall the cost of the shuttle service to the port? We were very tight on time, so we had booked a private car service. I cannot remember the cost. If you are not tight on time, then a shared shuttle will be the least expensive. Again, check the Florida Departures board. Many knowledgeable people there.
