loufred Posted May 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2014 We just arrived for our cruise on the Quest and discovered that there is more than one port in Stockholm. Seabourn only said that we leave from the port of Stockholm. Help! Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

loufred Posted May 25, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Our docs say "Port of Stockholm". We are going to head down to the city port later this morning and see if she is there. Otherwise, it's off to Frihamnen. Looking forward to this cruise! Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Chairsin Posted May 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2014 On our Baltics cruise a few years ago we docked in two different locations. When we arrived the first afternoon we docked about a 1/2 hour our of town and were shuttled into town. That night the ship moved and the next morning we were docked in a great location in Gamla Stan( old town) -- quite convenient.
Roxburgh Posted May 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 25, 2014 We just disembarked from Quest. Apparently, turnarounds get a different docking place to just visits (or so we were told). Hence the reason we were a bit out of town. Even so, and it being Sunday morning, the taxi ride into town and to our hotel was easy and uneventful. And there were plenty of taxis unlike certain other ports.
Chairsin Posted May 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Well as I noted our visit was an overnight and we parked downtown the next morning. It would appear it is not as cut and dry as you were told.
