Celebrity Website vs 3rd Party Sites

Wanted to ask experienced cruisers if there is any specific benefit to using the Celebrity site vs other online booking sites.

 

Asking because the Celebrity site seems to be marginally more expensive then the third party sites. Currently there isn't any promos on the cruise so think it seems like a straight price difference.

 

Future benefits?

Insurance?

Cancellation?

Offers to upgrade??

I notice that you are posting from Delhi. There are different regulations on pricing in different countries. In some countries Celebrity is allowed to control the prices offered by third parties. In other countries such price controls are not allowed. Other regulations also vary from country to country. In the EU, the up-front pricing should be accurate without hidden extras. This may not be the same elsewhere. I do not believe that many Cruise Critic members are from India and you may need to take care about the advice you are given by people who do not know the regulations in your country.

Project_Gal appreciate the advise on jurisdictions, will take some time to now figure out what I need to do to ensure my booking is correctly processed from India, thanks for the heads up.
