Let me first thank you for answering all our questions, you have been so helpful! We'll have an aft cabin like you and are sailing next month. When you arrive in Venice would you advise to go up on deck or would we miss out by remaining on our balcony? I appreciate any help you can provide.

We're a couple in our early 30th scheduled for the New Years Day cruise.

Our question is... how's the nightlife on Liberty?

The nightlife was varied. I am not sure what it is you are looking for. There was karoke, a piano bar which was always busy, dancing in some of the bars and in the main lobby, there were deck parties some nights. The disco we did not go in I suspect more of the teenagers were in there since they always seemed to be hanging around outside it, though I could be wrong. The casino is always open at sea as well. There didn't seem to be any shortage of things to do in the evening in fact sometimes it was hard to fit everything in.

Have a great New Years trip.

We walked back to the train station to get the 4 oclock train, we had to be back on the ship at 6:30 and the train ride was only 10 minutes.

Hi,

Thank you for your review, and for taking the time to answer questions!

We are on the August 13th sailing. Our itinerary has the ship leaving Livorno at 8pm, and I believe your itinerary was the same.

You mentioned in your review that while on your excursion out of Livorno, you

needed to get back to the ship by 6:30pm. Did the ship require passengers

to be back on board an hour and a half prior to scheduled departure from

Livorno? If so, was this the case in every port?

Thanks,

Bill

The ship was to sail at 7pm not as in the itinerary 8pm. We always had to be back on board 1/2 hour before sailing.

We went up on deck to watch our arrival into Venice. There is so much to see on both sides of the ship. We went to the front on deck 10. To get there we went through where the cabins were right to the end of the hallway, there was a door to the left that allowed us to go outside and view the arrival from there. This was a much better place to watch and take pictures from as there was no glass. Also there were fewer people using this area.

Have a great trip.

Hello Howison:

So glad to read some reviews on the Liberty. We are thinking of booking an aft cabin on her.

How was the view from your balcony? And you stated that your room was narrower than the side cabins, was your balcony deeper?

Thank you.

Sue Z

The view from the balcony was great. The balcony was definitely deeper but you have no privacy. I have had balconies in the past but always on the sides of the ship. I would have preferred having more privacy and cover as you get with the side balcony cabins. It's really what you prefer. I think the view from any balcony is magnificent.

Hi,

My friend and I are on the Sept. 6th Sailing and had a question about taking the train into Florence. Did you get off the ship at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. - you made an 8:11 am train -how far away was the station? We, too, want to take the train,

Thanks,

Atlantamb

I think we got off the train around 7:30. We had no idea what time the trains left at. We got a taxi at the pier and got to the station around 7:50. I have attached the web site for the train schedules.
