Post Office location

We will be spending 2 nights in NOLA before we sail November 2nd and are thinking about mailing home the souvenirs we might pick up for grandkids, etc. if it is doable. Does anyone know the nearest PO location to Prytania Street? We will not have a car so the closer the better. Rather not haul them on board and won't have time when we return.

Where on Prytania will you be?

 

The Main Post Office, with the best hours, is at 701 Loyola Avenue. There is also a post office just off St. Charles Avenue on Lafayette Square (but be warned this location is in a federal building and requires you to pass through federal building security). There is also a post office at 2000 Louisiana Avenue.

 

Depending on where you are, either the Lafayette Square or Louisiana Avenue locations are strictly speaking closest to Prytania, but other locations may be more convenient to your sightseeing plans.
