Tendering in Juneau

Hi. I will be in Juneau on the Star Princess in June. We are tendering. I booked our own helicopter/dog sled tour with a 0915 pickup (0800 arrival time for the ship). The helicopter company believes we will be fine. I am curious for those who have had direct experience - is this realistic for us to be off the ship? (I am willing to stand in line for however long to get the earliest tender tickets available).

You might want to get information from other cruisers by posting on the

We were on the Star Princess in May and we did not tender at Juneau or any of the Alaska ports.

Bummer, I've only been there while one or two ships are in port. The Star will be in port on June 6th with 2 other ships, June 18th with 4 other ships and June 29th with 5 other ships.

We docked in Juneau, but I want to say (don't quote me though) that all early excursions get priority tendering to shore, something like that.

Only excursions booked through Princess get priority tendering. Independently booked excursions do not get any kind of priority.

 

If you are Captain's Circle "Elite" level you get priority tendering too.

It's a very very short tender.....We did it ...I think you will be fine too......will be great day have fun
