Wifi in Chankanaab?

We were there a couple of weeks ago and checked into wifi. It is free if you are doing one of the dolphin, manatee or sea lion encounters. Otherwise there was either a $70 or $90 fee, can't remember which. We did not do any animal encounters and did not pay for the extra. This was a little disappointing but I didn't want DH or DD to be on iPhone web anyway, so it worked out.

We got free Wi-Fi while there but we had just done the dolphin encounter so if the above poster is correct that is why it was free. We asked while eating lunch at the café. They never asked if we were a part of the dolphin group but they probably could have guessed by the stuff we were carrying.

When we paid to enter the park I asked about Wi-Fi and they gave us the code. We went to the pool and logged on without any problems. We did not do any of the encounters or paid extra. Just asked at the entrance where we paid. Not sure if this is the norm or not.
