Majestic cruise on the Majesty

Recommended Posts

Just returned from the Majesty having travelled between the 23rd and 30th May departing from Corfu around Greece.

This is the 4th time we have crusied on the Majesty and I have got to say the standards have improved.

The ship looked fantastic and was spotlessly clean. The staff were brilliant, special mention to Rose, the waitress serving at the Polo lounge, a bundle of fun and a pleasure to talk to.

The entertainment team were the best we have experienced on a cruise ship, each performance very professional and of a very high standard.

The food was excellent. We ate in the seven seas for breakfast and evening meal. The food was always hot and very tasty. The evening meals were lovely and the staff waiting the tables were superb.

The weather was fantastic which always helps when cruising with very calm seas.

We stayed in an outside plus cabin on deck 3 and had a very comfortable stay.

Always book the plus cabins when sailing on the majesty as the difference in room size is well worth the extra you pay.

We travelled as a four. Me and my wife in one room and in another room, our 2 lads aged 23 and 21 came with us as were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The lads spent most of their evenings in the casino and had an absolute ball so much so that they are planning their next cruise on the Majesty.

A fantastic time had by all and we cannot wait until we the see the Majesty again.

Great to read these good reviews lately as we are off on our second time on the Majesty on the 20th of this month. Thank you!:)

Looking forward to seeing the improvements in the Piazza San Marco but a little worried about these low seats people have mentioned as I'm on the small side!

Hi Tony.

It was us that you were sat next to on deck 8 aft on the sea day.

Your lads certainly did enjoy themselves, they couldn't stop smiling could they?

Sheila, the seats aren't that bad, Mrs Holiday is 5 foot and a tea-leaf and she was fine. they would probably bring you an extra cushion if you needed it anyway. The new ones are much better than the older seats DW said they were worse for her as she had to perch on the bar at the front to eat.

You will be fine.

Thanks Joe. I'm a couple of tea leaves smaller than Mrs Holiday but I'm sure I'll be fine! If the old chairs were the ones from outside the old San Marco I agree they were awful. That bar was so uncomfortable if your feet were dangling!

was thinking of going elsewhere other than thomson this year (a few negatives with our cruise on the dream last year)but work commitments mean i can only go on a specific date ,put a search in for this date and lo and behold the only realistic option was the majesty ,we have been toying with the idea for a couple of weeks but having read the recent positive reviews i think i might just take the plunge and go for it,,plus the price is very reasonable:)
