Starting your own poker game

I have heard about others gathering people on their sailings by posting flyers to attract players. Has anyone done this? We are sailing on the Miracle in October and we love poker, but I heard that the our ship does not have a poker room as of yet.

 

Any thoughts would be appreaciated!

A group of our kids (20-22 yr olds) are bringing their poker chips so they can play Texas hold'm.

 

I plan on joing the game to teach the young ones how to play! lol

This has become such a rave among kids. My son (age 21) plays all the time with his friends. He asked for a regular set of poker chips for his birthday. We'll be taking our four sons (ages 20-24) along with 3 of their friends on the Valor in May, and I'm sure they'll be wanting to get a few games together while onboard.

While on the Legend (which has a poker room) we organized our own tournament in the common room- word of mouth got a whole gaggle of people to show up
