Casino offer again

Recommended Posts

I go to Vegas a lot. Been there 44 times. I know exactly where I stand and what I can get from the casinos I frequent out there. Basically my comps have gone up over the years as my play has increased. Makes sense. The whole Carnival casino "comps" are the very reason we are considering another line for our next cruise. The gambling at night (and sometimes all day on a sea day) is a big part of the cruise for us so I'd like to deal with someone who appreciates our level of play.

Do you play tables or machines? It seems like the machine comp system is a lot more accurate than the tables. We play tables and I can tell you it hardly ever makes sense what we get comped. Sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad.

We used to get free air and hotel to the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. Our play increased over time. Then it seemed like once they knew we were regulars the offers dried up even though we were playing more and at a higher level.

I was told I have 100 casino cash on next cruise within 24 months. No discount, no free cabin. I don't qualify yet for that because it is based on money spent onboard, and play in casino. Yet I see so many with free and discounted cruises that hardly spend any time in the casino...

DH has the same complaint....

EXACTLY!! Which is why it annoys DH - if they have a comp system you'd think it would applied more accurately.

He plays table games - plays often each cruise - has worked with the casino host to "maximize" his exposure/tracking and yet....NADA!

Nada for us on five account numbers. Problem is that we play table games and have never received a one offer. It's frustrating having loyalty but having the loyalty one direction sometimes.

Last year we got the free cabin offer and booked an extended balcony on the Legend for $191.00. We have a current offer that will save us about $150.00. Can't compare it to a free cabin but any savings is a good thing. I check every day just to see if the offer gets any better and it did go down another $140.00.

We got the offer, and in fine print at the bottom it said it was good for a maximum of two sailings. So we were able to book two cruises for only port fees and taxes. Legend in August and Breeze in January. I was very surprised it was good for more than one sailing.

I play tables and he plays slots. I spend lots more on the tables than he does on slots. He got the free drink card the second day. Although the pit boss was buying most of my drinks while I was at a card table he reluctantly gave me the free drink card on the 4th night. Thats pretty much the extent of perks.

  • 3 weeks later...

We were booked on Valor in sept. some of our friends are not able to go and we were considering cancelling it. Just happened to see a thread here on CC about casino offers, tried mine and nothing. tried my husbands and there was the Premier Casino offer- free interior cabin. Called Carnival and had them move our deposit (less $100 admin fee) to the free cruise of port fees and taxes, apply a fathers day promo gift card they sent us and my total for this cruise was $22.80. 8 days on Breeze. I will eat that on lunch on the lido deck day 1...lol

And I am still waiting.. according to the Players club, it is based on casino spending, spending onboard, and even spending on some land based casinos... well hard for me to believe because I know people that have had offers, with hardly any time spent in the casino, they dont play at land based casinos, and they bought their vodka from the ship, and mixed their own drinks... so what's up with that??? And was also told, i don't qualify... maybe next time... that is what they said...
